Project Brief: Modify our existing Evergreen Seat in a range of smaller variants.

When our long-standing client, Bristol City Council, reached out to us with a specific need for smaller street seating options, we were thrilled to rise to the challenge. While they were already big fans of our Evergreen Seat, they required bespoke versions in single and two-seat configurations for a new project. This request gave our design team the perfect opportunity to craft a tailored solution that would meet their needs while retaining the high quality and comfort of our standard design.

Our design team wasted no time in adapting the original Evergreen Seat to create the two smaller variants that Bristol City Council requested. After refining the technical drawings to reflect the new sizes, we shared the plans with the client for approval, ensuring that every detail met their specifications.

Once the designs were authorised, we got to work manufacturing the modified seats. In keeping with their vibrant aesthetic, Bristol City Council chose a bold, non-standard colour for the cast iron frames. The frames were powder-coated in RAL 5021, a striking shade often referred to as “Makita Blue,” adding a touch of brightness and energy to any outdoor space.

The new single and two-seat Evergreen variants have been a huge success with Bristol City Council, and we’re just as thrilled with the outcome. These bespoke versions maintain the durable construction, comfort, and stylish appeal of the original design while offering the versatility needed for a wide range of settings, from public parks to community spaces.
